Fandoms ARE a good thing in their core, a place where you find people with the same interests as you, art you like and justa place where you feel belong~

But you also have to deal with it. With the good comes the bad . You can ignore the crap, sure, but in the end it is the people from the outside mostly who don't know/like that show and expose the crap materials.

Just as i wrote:

I picked up MLP because... i... felt like it?
Because it is super popular and relevant at the moment?
I could easly just pick up Home Stuck or to put in Doctor Who and watch the world burn the same way haha :'D

Bottom line:
Don't give the "lost a lot respect for you " crap, you just can't accept a super light joke / you are waayyy too protective or sensitive. And maybe for that i'm sorta sorry for you.
