By the way, can I ask how Patch Together works?
Do I have to pay anything to get one of my characters done? :P

You can make your own figures using Patch Together! I honestly have no idea how it works, but I do know that you have to give them references to make the toy.

Dream come true? HELL yeah!

Maybe... I'll try for Patch Together. I want to learn how to model in 3D in Blender... that'll make shots from front and side easier.

Blender's got an annoying interface. I forgot I had it on here. xD;

Yeah that was a bit random and he talked to me about you... Not to worry, I'm not going to flame anyone. But I promised to ask, why do you think Blender's interface is annoying? I personally love it. And I'm a bit curious too. :D

Don't know if you know but the interface has been re-factored from the scratch and the whole workflow is quite some different in some areas. The whole core has been rewritten from scratch too. See the new 2.5 series. Still at beta stage though but workable and compared to that, the old 2.49b actually is quite annoying. That's because the tools/buttons/features are all over the place, some are hidden and you'd have to just remember where that thing is. 2.5 is build so that everything is easily accessible, context sensitive and the buttons go in a tree form, from the things that effect everything to the smallest details. Things that I love are non-blocking tools, the context sensitivity thing, search feature, the workflow and all the other cool stuff like fluids, smoke, cloth... Only thing that could be better is the renderer and a new one is being made already. How about you? :)

I don't know how to use blender. I tried looking up a tutorial on the basic interface. I downloaded a free version about a year ago and none of it is set up in a way i'm familiar with. The hot-keys are all different and are not exactly what I would expect so it makes things real difficult to use to me.
I'm not quite sure what version I have, but it's real confusing and when I try rendering things it slows my computer way down. No program of mine has ever used so many resources besides starcraft2 and that's a new game with lots of graphics for a computer with a lousy graphics card.

I'm not familiar with it enough to talk about the functions of blender.

Ok. :) Thanks for explaining. The 2.5 is less than a year old so you did have the old one then. And Blender has always been free for everyone. There's no any kind of cost at all but if you wish, you can donate.

Well... The basic keys are rather easy to remember. G-Grab(Or Translate), R-Rotate(Double click to trackball), S-Scale, E-Extrude, Tab switches between edit and object mode and so on... Though it will take some time to really learn it. Blender is also one of the fastest 3D modelling packages to use and to make things with. It's not a game so it's not build to meet any requirements. Game objects are seriously optimized and low-poly while in 3D app, you usually work in hi-poly and later on make the low-poly game objects based on those. The more stuff (polys mainly) is on the screen, the more power it is going to need. Also Blender uses automatically all the cores you have when rendering so the rest of your pc might slow down quite some. Look how many cores you have and then set threads to (your cores) - 1... Or you can set the cpu priority for blender to min. I have 6 cores so I like to set it to 5 when I record my work to video. Or to 4 when I want to play some game at the same as it's rendering. I have a scene that took 8 and half minutes with one core. With all 6 it took a bit less than 2 minutes. Some scenes have taken more than half an hour to render with 5 cores so the more power, the better.

If you wish to try the new 2.5, then the best tutorials are found on blendercookie.com Here's the link to the beginner tutorials. [link]

Ok. I think this should cover it. But there's a clean structure in the UI now so if you wish to try it... And I'm available to help with it too. :D

Wow, this looks seriously too amazing! o3o
You did a simply perfect job at the concept and pose... it suits the figure so great!
Never heard of that side.. "patchtogether"
So you can request such figures there? Geesh, gotta try that, too.. |3
Hopefully there´re such stores in Europe, because the price for the figure plus shipping is ... a little too expensie |D
Did you needed to pay the full price or was it one of these " on demand!" designs? o3o
